Each year during his high school career a northeast Nebraska golfer has represented his school on the highest stage.

Golfers from across the state competed in the four 2025 NSAA Boys State Golf Championships May 28 - 29.

Senior Ben Jorgensen from Tri County Northeast (Allen/Emerson-Hubbard) traveled to a new course after competing at the Elks Country Club the previous three years.

From the Jackrabbit Run Golf Course in Grand Island, Jorgensen was one of 101 golfers in action during the Class C 36-hole championships.

The member of the Wolfpack boys golf team posted a two-day score of 166. He tied for 53rd.

After an opening round 79 sitting in a tie for 30th, Jorgensen followed with an 87 on his second 18.

Last year, Jorgensen tied for 17th with an 80 at the Elks Country Club in Columbus during the weather-shortened Class C championships; his sophomore season showcased a tie for 44th with a 179 (89/90) from the Elks Country Club in Columbus and his first year at the boys state golf championships Jorgensen finished in 80th with a 200 (95/105) at the Elks Country Club in Columbus.

Other 2025 state golf outings were held at the Kearney Country Club for Class A, Monument Shadows Golf Course in Gering for Class B and Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus for Class D. For complete recap information on the boys state golf results, visit nsaa.home.org.
