Trojans suffer loss in straight sets against Battle Creek

A pair of Class C1 northeast Nebraska volleyball programs were in action Tuesday evening.

From the main gym in Wakefield, the Trojans welcomed Battle Creek.

Battle Creek jumped ahead early each set and secured the 3-0 victory over the Trojans to improve to 5-1. Wakefield fell to 0-2.

Scores of the match favored the visiting Bravettes 25-9, 25-14, 25-10.

Senior Alli Brown paced Wakefield at the net with eight kills, 14 digs and a block. Sophomore Montserratt Avila led the team in assists with 12 to go along with nine digs.

Senior Isabella Andrade added three kills and six digs as junior Sierra Kaufman (one dig) and junior Gracyn Keagle (six digs and two blocks) both had a kill. Junior Ashlyn Riewer tacked on 10 digs while sophomore Boston Brown tallied two blocks (one solo) and three digs.
