Wayne's Vet's Club cancels pancacke breakfast
The Wayne Vet's Club has canceled their pancake breakfast until further notice.
State Nebraska Bank and Trust to close lobby
According to a release from State Nebraska Bank, the bank will be closing their lobby as of 5 p.m. on March 17 with plans to reopen on Monday, April 6 tentatively. Drive thru lanes will remain open and customers may walk up to the drive thru. State Nebraska will continue to offer online banking including mobile deposit, night drop depository in the first lane of the drive thru, ATM locations at the main branch, 7th and Windom, Pac 'N' Save and the WSC Student Center. For questions contact the bank at (402) 375-1130. Should a customer desire personal banking, appointments can be made by calling the same number.
Wayne Public Library to close
As of 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, the Wayne Public Library will be closed to the public until Friday, April 3. Library staff encourage patrons to check out any physical material today. Book drop off will still be available and staff will be on hand for phone calls during the closure. For questions contact the library at (402) 375-6519.
Dairy Queen to close dining room
The Wayne Dairy Queen will be limiting dining room service, effective immediately.
According to Lori Avery, owner of Wayne Dairy Queen, the dining room closure is due to growing concerns over the COVID-19 virus.
“Dairy Queen has closed its dining room. We’re still open for business through our DRIVE-THRU and for TAKEOUT counter orders. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation!” Avery said.
Lower Elkhorn NRD office in Norfolk closes to the public
The Lower Elkhorn Natural Resources District (LENRD) is closing their physical office until further notice, effective immediately, to ensure a healthy and safe environment for their employees and the public.
LENRD General Manager, Mike Sousek, said, “We continue to closely monitor the evolving Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation, along with implementing the latest recommendations from federal, state and local authorities.”
While the office doors are closed to the public, the Lower Elkhorn NRD staff will continue to answer phone calls, reply to emails, and proceed with spring field work.
Sousek added, “If you are not already utilizing our digital tools for updated information, we strongly encourage you to begin using the District’s website at lenrd.org, Facebook and Twitter pages. As we navigate through these uncertain times, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at 402-371-7313.”
