Both Laurel-Concord-Coleridge and Winside were looking to improve on their times and marks during a week-day regular season track & field invitational.
From Laurel, LCC welcomed 10 other programs on Tuesday.
The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge girls finished sixth with 38 points while the LCC boys took seventh with 25 points.
The Winside girls totaled 21 points placing eighth as the Winside boys finished ninth with 16 points.
In the girls division, Yutan won the LCC Invite with 137 points, Pender followed in second (106), Ponca took third (67), Tri County Northeast (Allen/Emerson-Hubbard) placed fourth (66) and Crofton rounded out the top five teams with 39 points.
The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge girls were led by a gold medal from senior Tali Erwin in the high jump (5'0") while sophomore Carlie Kvols earned a runner-up finish in the 800-meter run (2:33.84).
Junior Kate Tasler placed fourth in the 1600-meter run (5:50.45) as did sophomore Faith Galvin during the 3200-metter run (13:45.85).
All three relays finished fourth being the 4x100 of sophomore Hattie McCorkindale, freshman Taelynn Settje, freshman Gace Galvin and freshman Joslynn Kincaid (54.27), the 4x400 of McCorkindale, Erwin, Kate Tasler and Kvols (4:27.79) and the 4x800 of Kvols, junior Tyler Recob, sophomore Justice Olson and Kate Tasler (10:46.97).
Sophomore Hadleigh Schutt led the Winside girls with a first place mark in the shot put (36' 4") along with a third place finish in the discus (98' 4'). Sophomore Ellie Topp took sixth in the discus (84').
In relays, the 4x400 of sophomore Aleah Bilstein, sophomore Adrianna Miller, sophomore Hadley Sellin and freshman Bridget Marotz took fifth (4:49.23) as did the 4x800 of Miller, sophomore Katelyn Jaeger, Bilstein and Sellin (11:28.91).
During the boys division, Yutan won the LCC Invite with 127 points, Creighton followed in second (85), Ponca took third (82), Pender placed fourth (63) and Tri County Northeast rounded out the top five teams with (50) points.
The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge boys were led by freshman Drey Puppe winning the 100-meter hurdles (15.47), was a scratch in the 300-meter hurdles and placed sixth in the high jump (5' 8").
Senior Carter Korth took fourth in the 800-meter run (2:20.79) as junior Jaylen Carpenter finished fifth in the shot put (40' 4").
In relays, the 4x400 of sophomore Hunter McGhee, Carter Korth, sophomore Hunter Benson and sophomore Ian Sohler took fourth (3:58.96) as did the 4x800 of junior Shane Langford, freshman Sebastian Van Droggelen, Benson and Carter Korth (9:28.91). The 4x100 relay was disqualified.
The Winside boys were led by junior Caleb Offner during a second place finish in both the shot put (47' 2") and discus (138' 4").
