A second straight weekend showcased Wayne Unified Bowling.

From the Norfolk Unified Bowling Tournament on Nov. 8, 20 teams were highlighted.

Team one made up of Brady Coflack, Marie Allemann, Eva Jochum, Lily Gubbels and Regan Fernau earned an impressive seventh place finish.

Team two featuring Nolan Bohnert, Ceci Judd, Alexsa De Paz, Sophia Petersen and Avery Gubbels finished in 18th place.

Both teams represented Wayne proudly, showing great teamwork, sportsmanship and enthusiasm throughout the day," said Maggie Gubbels, Unified Bowling head coach, Behavior Specialist at Wayne Community Schools.

"Athletes and partners enjoyed competing against new opponents, supporting one another and celebrating their shared love of the sport."

The Unified Bowling program continues to promote 'inclusion, acceptance, and friendship—values that shine both on and off the lanes.'

Next up for Wayne Unified Bowling will be a second home event scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 18 at 2 p.m. from Wildcat Lanes in Wayne.
