Julie Anne Williams, 78, died  Friday, March 20, 2026, in Lincoln. 

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 26 at Christ United Methodist Church (4530 A Street in Lincoln.

Memorials are designated to the Kidney Foundation or the HoriSun Hospice Foundation.

Julie Anne Williams was born on July 4, 1947, to Leo and Mary (Lilly) Burkhart in Sioux City, Iowa. Julie was retired from Ameritas. A member of Christ United Methodist Church, she was an avid quilter and participated in the church’s quilting club and volunteered her time helping with the women's group. Her hobbies included sewing, playing cards, cooking, gardening, and canning. Julie was a Husker fan, especially when it came to volleyball and basketball. She loved family get-togethers and her Fourth of July birthday parties. She found her greatest joy in tending to her grandsons, providing a foundation of love and care while their parents worked.

Julie is survived by her husband, Delmar; daughters, Debra (Mark) Lundy, Becky Herdt, and Mary Ellen Williams; grandchildren, Maxwell Kavan, Logan Kavan, and Miles Lundy; siblings, Dr. John Robert (Chris) Burkhart, Jerry Burkhart, Mary (Bill) Mallett, and Jeff (Jen) Burkhart; brother-in-law, Orlin Williams; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; along with three granddogs. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, son-in-law, Scott Herdt, sister-in-law, Chris Williams, and sister-in-law, Sherry Burkhart.
