Both Wayne State College softball and baseball programs were back in action on March 29 during NSIC play.
From the Pete Chapman Softball Complex, the WSC softball team first had a four-game win streak snapped following a 4-3 loss but then answered back with a 5-0 win to earn the split against MSU Moorhead.
The Wildcats (26-6, 6-2 NSIC) will next host St. Cloud State on April 3 at noon/2 p.m. followed by Concordia-St. Paul on April 4 at noon/2 p.m.
From the Pete Chapman Baseball Complex, the Wildcat baseball team won their 11th straight game thanks to a 19-7 victory over Bemidji State by run rule in seven innings (scheduled to play nine).
WSC (19-9, 11-4 NSIC) has now swept three straight league opponents and will next travel to Sioux Falls, SD on March 31 visiting #17 Augustana at 3/5 p.m.
