A trio of road outings took over the recent Wayne High baseball schedule while both Wayne State College softball and baseball programs were on their home diamonds.
First on March 26 from Pender, the Wayne High baseball team won 12-0 at Thurston-Cuming County.
The following day, Wayne traveled to Fairbury for a road triangular and began by winning their third straight with a 6-0 win over the host Jeffs. The Blue Devils then suffered an 11-4 loss to Malcolm.
Wayne (3-4) will next host Douglas County West on March 31 at 4:30 p.m. with JV to follow.
From the Pete Chapman Softball Complex on March 28, the Wayne State College softball team won by run rule in five innings (11-1) and also picked up a 6-1 victory over Minnesota Crookston to win their fourth straight.
WSC (25-5, 5-1 NSIC) will next host MSU Moorhead on March 29 at noon/2 p.m.
From the Pete Chapman Baseball Complex on March 28, the Wildcat baseball team picked up wins of 11-5 and 26-15 (both games lasted seven innings) over Bemidji State.
Wayne State College (18-9, 10-4 NSIC) has won 10 straight and will close out their three-game home series against BSU at noon on March 29.
