Grab your sweetheart and make plans for a “Totally Rad 80’s Prom Gone Bad” murder mystery with The Little Red Hen Theatre this Valentine’s Day.
On Tuesday, Feb. 14 The Little Red Hen theatre will present an interactive and entertaining “totally tubular” murder mystery dinner at the Wakefield Civic Center. Audiences will put their sleuthing skills to the test as they work to unmask the murderer while they enjoy dinner and drinks – as well as getting up-close and personal with the zany cast of characters.
“Like, what better way to spend Valentines Day than solving a little murder with your special someone, right?” said T. Adam Goos, Managing Director of the theatre.
The action of “Totally Rad 80’s Prom Gone Bad” takes place at the fictional Mayhem Highschool’s Prom – and this party is going off the rails fast. With their high school careers coming to an end, the students of Mayhem High find themselves battling it out over grades, popularity, affection, class ranking, and most importantly – who will be Prom King and Queen!
But before the night is over an innocent life will be claimed and anyone could be the culprit! From the preppie to the punk rocker, the star athlete to the valedictorian, and the mathlete to the head cheerleader – everyone is a suspect and the audience has to figure out who is responsible at this night of neon, naughtiness, and narcissistic behavior!
In addition to a “totally tubular” time, audiences will also be treated to a catered meal of roast beef and ham with various sides and a desert. A cash bar will also be available. Guests are encouraged to wear their 80’s best – and may even get a prize for dressing up.
The event is a fundraiser for the Little Red Hen Theatre and will be held at the Wakefield Civic Center on Tuesday, Feb. 14, with doors opening at 6 p.m. and dinner served at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $25.
