Several northeast Nebraska high school volleyball all-stars will be represented in mid-June during the inaugural Volleyball Day in Norfolk.
According to a release from Northeast Community College, Wakefield's Alli Brown will be on the 'Light Team' which will be coached by Julie Kvols from Laurel-Concord-Coleridge during the all-star match.
Volleyball Day in Norfolk will take place on Friday, June 13 at Norfolk Veterans Memorial Baseball Field in Norfolk. A kids clinic (K-3) will last from 9 - 11 a.m., followed by a Nebraska DLeague scrimmage between 1 - 3 p.m. and then the Northeast Nebraska All-Star Volleyball match at 4 p.m. all on an outdoor court for the first time.
Also coaching with Kvols will be Madeline Gideon from GACC while the 'Dark Team' coaches will be Jordynn Luettel of Elgin Public/Pope John and Kay Raabe of Wisner-Pilger.
Admission will be collected at the entrance with adults costing $7, children $5 and anyone age five and under will be admitted in for free.
Additionally, “Volleyball Day in Norfolk" shirts will be for sale on site for $15.

'Dark Team' players: Chloe Henn (Elgin Public/Pope John); Izzy Hollatz, Brynn Settje (Clarkson/Leigh); Brandi Helzer (Oakland Craig); Sophie Humphrey (Battle Creek); Lydia Robertson (Summerland); Bailey Hochstein (Cedar Catholic); Jessica Black (Elkhorn Valley) and Annabelle Barlow (O'Neil St. Mary's).
