The fields have been set for next week's subdistrict volleyball tournaments, and three of the four area teams have No. 1 seeds for their subdistricts.
Wakefield/Allen is the top seed for the C1-3 subdistrict at Wisner-Pilger High School, Wayne holds the top spot in the C1-7 subdistrict at Norfolk High, and Laurel-Concord-Coleridge is the No. 1 seed for the D1-4 subdistrict at Battle Creek. Winside will be the No. 2 seed for the D2-2 subdistrict at Hartington Cedar Catholic High School.
Subdistrict winners and six wild cards will advance to Saturday's district finals, with the eight winners moving on to the state tournament in Lincoln.
