Despite scoring a team-high 20 points, the Wakefield football team played another top eight-man program on Sept. 26.
From Beemer, the Trojans suffered a 43-20 loss at GACC falling to 0-5.
Through five weeks, Wakefield opponents have gone 21-4.
Head coach Joe Kvidera said, "although we didn't win, we played pretty well, as good as we have all season. Hopefully, things are starting to click for us and we can continue to get better and get a win in our last three games."
Senior Jacob Borg went 4-12 for 42 yards and two interceptions for Wakefield. He added 23 rushes for 126 yards and two scores.
Senior Benny Palma was 1-2 for eight yards. He ran the ball 10 times for 36 yards and had a touchdown.
Senior Mason Lamprecht hauled in a team-high three receptions for 32 yards.
Other catches came from Palm (eight yards) and sophomore Matthew Metzler (six yards).
Defensively, senior Quintin Beaty recorded a team-high 13 tackles (12 solo).
Senior Ruben Vega (three solo) and senior Mark Ruiz (two solo) both added five tackles as Lamprehct (one TFL/one sack) had four solo tackles.
The Wakefield football team will look to snap a 22-game losing streak on Friday, October 3 traveling to Allen to face Tri County Northeast at 7 p.m. The Wolpack are 0-5 and have dropped six straight.
