From road triangular action late in the week, to road invite competition over the weekend, the Wakefield boys wrestling team joined several northeast Nebraska teams.
From Battle Creek, the Trojans were listed as one of 18 teams during the Battle Creek Invite on Saturday.
The Wakefield boys finished 16th with 30 points among their five wrestlers.
Battle Creek won their home invite with 253 points, Cedar Catholic followed in runner-up (185), Gretna East took third (145.5), Gretna placed fourth (119.5) and Yutan rounded out the top five teams with 104.5 points.
Wakefield leaders were Lane Fischer (132) in fourth place while a pair of sixth place results came from Baldwin Garcia (106) and Ruben Vega (157).
Arnulfo Barboza (285) collected a 10th place finish as Domingo Centino (150) took 12th.
The Wakefield boys wrestling team will next travel to the Madison Invite on Friday, Jan. 24.
