Wakefield boys fall at West Point Beemer; secure two wins by pin

After last competing in a weekend invite on Dec. 21, the Wakefield boys wrestlers were back in action to open the weekend.

  From West Point-Beemer, the Trojans battled with the Cadets during a Friday night dual.

  The host Cadets secured the 59-12 victory.

Contested match wins from Wakefield were posted by Domingo Centino (150) by fall (4:59) over Keegan Fischer while Ruben Vega (157) won by fall (3:19) over Jackson Winn.

  Lane Fischer (138) suffered a loss by tech fall (16-1, 2:27) to Manny Figueroa and Baldwin Garcia (106) suffered a loss by fall (2:24) to Layton Schroeder.

  West Point-Beemer won 132, 144, 165, 175, 190, 215, 113 and 120 by forfeit. Both teams double forfeit 126 and 285.

The Wakefield boys wrestling team is off until Saturday, Jan. 11 during the Summerland Invite on the same date as the Wakefield girls will travel to Winside Invite.
