After beginning their season with a road dual, the Wakefield boys wrestlers sent a team of six to a weekend invitational.
From Howells, the Trojans were listed among the 19-team Howells-Dodge Invite on Dec. 7.
The Wakefield boys wrestling team finished 11th with 33.5 points.
Cedar Catholic and Tekamah-Herman tied for first in the team standings with 148.5 points each. West Point-Beemer took third (121), Archbishop Bergan followed in fourth (76.5) and the host Howells-Dodge rounded out the top five teams with 74 points.
The Wakefield boys were led by third place finishes from Baldwin Garcia (106) who scored nine points as Domingo Centino (157) recorded 13 points.
Lane Fischer (138) finished seventh as eighth place results came from Landon Ryion (144) and Ruben Vega (165). Arnulfo Barboza (285) placed 12th.
