Wakefield falls at Pender, Ashlyn Riewer surpasses 500 career digs

After playing six straight matches at home, the Wakefield volleyball program took to the road on September 18.

From Pender, the Trojans suffered a 3-0 loss to the Pendragons (11-25, 11-25, 17-25).

Wakefield is now 1-14 on the season.

Wakefield was led by sophomore Rihanna Rivera and senior Gracyn Keagle (one ace/one solo block) both with two kills.

Freshman Taylor Brown finished with six assists, four digs, two blocks (one solo) and a kill.

Freshman Quinn Riewer posted a team-high eight digs to go along with a solo block and a kill.

Senior Ashlyn Riewer recorded a service aces and seven digs. She recently surpassed 500 career digs and currently sits at 537.

The Wakefield volleyball team will next host Clarkson/Leigh on Tuesday, September 23 starting at 5 p.m.
