Wakefield girls record three pins during home dual victory, Trojan boys fall with two individual victories

Both Trojan girls and boys wrestling programs were on their home mat for dual competition.

From the Activity Center, Wakefield entertained Homer in varsity wrestling action on Tuesday.

The Wakefield girls wrestling team won 54-6 while the Trojan boys suffered a 57-16 loss.

During the girls dual, Wakefield contested match wins came from Tiffany Chase (170) by fall (3:00) over Alexis Jessen; Maria Perez (125) by fall (1:07) over Alivya Prenger and Angie Miranda (130) by fall (3:15) over Lila Bolles.

Wakefield also won 140, 190, 235, 105, 120 and 135 by forfeit. Both teams double forfeit 145, 155, 100 and 110.

Wakefield’s Erica Chicaj Pol (130) suffered a loss by fall (2:27) by Lilyanna Dziurawiec.

In the boys dual, Wakefield contested match wins came from Lane Fischer (144) by major decision (17-8) over Isaac Barclay and Ruben Vega (165) by fall (2:49) over Bodie Nelson. The Trojans also received points from 106 by forfeit.

Homer won 120, 126, 132, 190 and 215. Both teams double forfeit 113.

Wakefield’s Pedro Gonzalez (138) suffered a loss by fall (1:51) to Josue Munoz; Vinsel Molina (150) suffered a loss by fall (0:56) to Maximus Wiggs; Domingo Centino (157) suffered a loss by decision (6-1) to Austin Pelster; Ezequiel Ramirez (175) suffered a loss by fall (2:49) to Ethan Roberts and Arnulfo Barboza (285) suffered a loss by fall (1:19) to Colton Victor.

The Wakefield girls and boys wrestling team will next be in action on Saturday, December 14. The Trojan girls will compete in the Fort Calhoun Invite while Wakefield boys will send wrestlers to the Stanton Invite.
