From Wakefield, the Trojans entertained Winnebago and Cedar Catholic during a home triangular.
The Wakefield girls picked up home dual victories over Cedar Catholic of 54-6 and 30-22 against Winnebago while the Wakefield boys lost 58-5 to Cedar Catholic but won 30-24 over Winnebago.
During the middle triangular matches, the Winnebago girls won 36-6 against Cedar Catholic while the Cedar Catholic boys won 59-12 over Winnebago.
From the Wakefield girls victory against Cedar Catholic, Wakefield wins by forfeit came from 110, 115, 120, 140, 155, 170, 190 and 235.
Cedar Catholic’s lone win was posted by Morgan Kuchta (135) in the lone contested match by fall (3:03) over Melony Manjarrez.
In the Wakefield girls win over Winnebago, contested match wins came from Jazmynn Scott (155) by fall (1:43) over Lula DeCora and Natalee Nelson (190) won by fall (2:47) over Ka’Mia Blackhawk. Wakefield wins by forfeit came from 115, 125 and 135.
Eirca Chicaj Pol (110) suffered a loss by fall (3:33) to Zowie Wilkie, Maria Perez (120) suffered a loss by major decision (20-12) to Zziniyah Redhorn, Tiffany Chase (170) suffered a loss by fall (2:59) against Ricarda Littlewalker as Mileny Romero Hernandez (235) suffered a loss by fall (0:38) against Precious DeCora.
Both teams double forfeit 105, 130, 140 and 145.
During the Wakefield boys loss to Cedar Catholic, the lone contested match win came from Ruben Vegan (157) by tech fall (15-0, 3:12) over Ty Opfer.
Baldwin Garcia (106) suffered a loss by tech fall (16-1, 2:42) against Grady Lammers, Lane Fischer (132) lost by tech fall (15-0, 2:16) to Braeden Kleinschmit, Landon Ryion (165) lost by fall (5:31) to Brody Kleimschmit, Ezequiel Ramierz (175) lost by fall (0:41) to Brady Hochstein as Arnulfo Barboza (285) lost by fall (0:23) to Nicholas Coleman.
Cedar Catholic won 126, 138, 144, 150 and 190 by forfeit while both teams double forfeit 113, 120 and 215.
In the Wakefield boys victory over Winnebago, Ruben Vega (157) won by fall (0:51) over Ayden Armell as Landon Ryion (165) won by fall (1:22) over Jacob Lincoln. The Trojans also won 132, 175 and 106 by forfeit.
Winnebago won 144, 190, 215 and 285 while both teams double forfeit 120, 126, 138, 150 and 113.
The Wakefield girls will next compete in Madison for the East Husker Conference meet on Friday, Jan. 31 and Cedar Bluffs on Saturday, Feb. 1 while the Wakefield boys will also be in action on Saturday in the EHC boys conference meet hosted by Lyons-Decatur Northeast.
