Following a week in-between competition, the Wakefield volleyball team went back to work on their home court one final time.
From the main gym in Wakefield, the Trojans entertained Elkhorn Valley on Tuesday.
The visiting Falcons picked up a 3-0 sweep to improve to 18-6 as Wakefield fell to 10-15.
Scores of the match favored Elkhorn Valley 27-25, 25-22, 25-14.
The Wakefield volleyball team will next compete in the East Husker Conference tournament for the first since departing the Lewis and Clark Conference this past year.
The Trojans have earned the #11 seed and will face #6 Howells-Dodge around 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17. The match will be played in Humphrey as #3 Humphrey-Lindsay will open the night at 5 p.m. against #14 Madison. The two winners then play around 7 p.m. Thursday night with a chance to advance to Saturday's semifinal round.
