Day two action closed out the Class B-3 District Tournament for girls wrestling teams showcasing the Winside and Wakefield girls.
Back at Pierce, champions were crowned with state qualifiers advancing to Omaha among 30 teams scoring points.
The Winside girls finished 29th with four points among their two wrestlers while the Wakefield girls totaled 55.5 points to place ninth among their nine wrestlers.
West Holt was crowned B-3 District team champ with 143 points, Pierce followed in runner-up (136), Crofton-Bloomfield took third (130.5), Elkhorn Valley placed fourth (106) and Palmyra rounded out the top five teams with 104.5 points.
The Winside girls were led by scoring from Raylyn Behmer (115) and Lilly Umbarger (145) both eliminated before the medal round.
Wakefield advanced their first-ever girls state qualifier being Naomi Nelson (135) with a bronze medal.
Other scoring came from Erica Chicaj Pol (110), Katelyn Walsh (115), Maria Perez (120), Kira Centurion (125), Jazmynn Scott (155), Tiffany Chase (170), Natalee Nelson (190) and Mileny Romero Hernandez (235).
The 2025 NSAA Girls Individual State Wrestling Championships will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 18 (first round at 4 p.m.) along with a full day of action on Wednesday, Feb. 19 (starting at 9 a.m.) from the CHI Health Center Arena in Omaha. Championship finals will take place at 6 p.m. Feb. 19.
