Savannah Nelson of Wakefield has signed to play volleyball next year at Northeast Community College.
In her career at Wakefield, Nelson recorded 1,877 assists, 883 digs, 320 kills, 79 ace serves and 69 blocks.
In her senior year, she was named to the Academic All-State Team and the Lincoln Journal Star All-State honorable mention team. Nelson was also named to the Lewis and Clark All-Conference Team in her sophomore, junior and senior years, and earned honorable mention in her freshman year.
Other honors include the Omaha World Herald All-State honorable mention team in her freshman and sophomore years and All-Tournament Team at the Wakefield Invite her sophomore year.
Nelson is a four-year letterwinner at Wakefield, where she also competed in basketball and was a three-time state track qualifier.
