Wanda Hofeldt, 69, of Wayne, died Friday, Dec. 4, 2015 at the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Services will be held Thursday, Dec. 10 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. The Rev. Jeanne Madsen will officiate. Visitation will be Wednesday, Dec. 9 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne with family present
Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.
Memorials may be directed to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne.
Wanda Helen Hofeldt was born Sept. 25, 1946 in Wayne to Lester and Helen (Rosacker) Hofeldt. She was baptized and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Wayne. Wanda graduated from Wayne High School in 1964 and then University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colo. She was a school teacher in Wiley, Colo. until returning to Wayne. Over the years, Wanda was employed at Bill’s Market Basket, Wittig’s Grocery, Bill’s G.W., and retired from Quality Foods. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. Wanda enjoyed gardening and her flowers.
Survivors include her siblings, Vivian (Ken) Kizer of Paris, Tenn., Larry (Ellen) Hofeldt of Oshkosh, Wisc., and Patricia (Bob) Cook of Pueblo, Colo.; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother.
Pallbearers will be Ron Wacker, Delmar Wacker, David Hofeldt, Renee Hofeldt, Carol Griesch, Dick Brown, Cheryl Henschke and Harold Thompson.
Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne.
