Several representatives of the Wayne Municipal Airport Authority were on hand in Kearney last week when the airport received the Airport of the Year Award for 2025 during the Nebraska Aviation Symposium.
Attending from Wayne were Travis Meyer, Lisa Meyer and Natalia Meyer and Airport Authority Vice President Andrea Henderson. Mayor Jill Brodersen was unable to attend due to weather issues.
The Nebraska Aviation Symposium is a two-day forum for legislative updates, legal sessions, maintenance sessions, updates from the FAA, the NDOT Aeronautics division and networking with many aviation vendors.
"This summer, along with all our regularly scheduled events we hold, we will also be hosting the National Er Coupe Convention June 9-13 at the Wayne Municipal Airport," Travis Meyer added.
