After being rescheduled from earlier in the week, the Wayne Blue Broncos and Didgets took to the road for Tri County League youth baseball action on May 22.
From Pender, the Wayne Blue Broncos suffered a 4-3 loss as the Wayne Blue Didgets lost 11-1 at Pender Red. Both teams are now 2-1 on the season.
In the Broncos outing, Wayne Blue led 3-2 entering the final inning until Pender Red scored twice in the home half of the sixth to win 4-3 in walk-off fashion. Pender Red outhit Wayne Blue, 7-4.
Brody Virgil and Trey Wardlow both singled and scored as Dexter McIntosh accounted for one RBI.
Bradley Hanson and Heath Poland both singled as Ayser Titiml scored.
Titiml (52 pitches) suffered the loss in two innings of relief allowing two earned runs off three hits while striking out five batters, walking three and hitting one. Hudson Kramer (57) started the opening three and two-thirds allowing two earned runs off four hits while striking out seven batters and walking one.
During the Didgets contest, Ryan Magnuson went 2-for-3 at the plate with two runs scored. Emmett Johnson and Finn McElroy both recorded a RBI as McElroy suffered the loss.
