Wayne boys golf competes at Norfolk Catholic Invite

While junior varsity golfers were in Randolph, the Wayne High varsity team competed in an eight-team invite.

From the Norfolk Country Club, the Norfolk Catholic Invite welcomed sunny skies and warm temperatures for an 18-hole outing.

Wayne High finished seventh with a 393.

Norfolk Catholic won their home invite with a 311 followed by Columbus Scotus and Summerland who both tied for second with a 350. Norfolk High JV took fourth with a 358 as Boone Central rounded out the top five teams with a 360.

Will Brockhaus from Norfolk Catholic posted a three-under PAR 69 among the 48 golfers. The Knights captured the next two spots being Brayden Kosch (77) and Callen Marshall (79).

Wayne High leaders were Dylan Jensen with a 96 to place 30th as Theo Claussen followed in 33rd with a 97.

Other Blue Devil results came from Landen Sharer (99) as well as Carter Wiese and Mason Karsky (both 101).
