The Wayne High boys golf team picked up a trio of medals and posted a fifth-place finish in the Mac Invite Thursday at Wayne Country Club.
Jonah Brodersen and Shea Sweetland both shot rounds of 87 and placed 12th and 13th, respectively to finish among the top 20 medalists.
Peyton DeWald was also in on the medal haul, as he was one of five golfers to shoot 88 and finished 15th.
As a team, the Blue Devils shot a 355 with Zach Urbanec and Austin Fernau both shooting rounds of 93.
LCC’s golfers finished ninth with a 376 and had one medalist, as Izac Reifenrath placed 14th with an 87. Rounding out the Bears’ round was Ty Erwin with a 93, Karsen Klooz with a 97, Noah Schutt with a 99 and Zach Dietrich with a 112.
Wayne’s JV finished 13th in the 16-team field with a round of 403. Christopher Woerdemann and Ryan Jaixen both shot 98, Beau Bowers had a 100, Matt Navrkal shot 107 and Nolan Hunke had a 108.
Wayne’s golfers and the LCC linksters will compete in the Wakefield Invitational on Friday and close out the regular season Monday at the Randolph Invitational.
