Wayne County has surpassed 10 confirmed cases of COVID-19. The news came in a press release from Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department (NNPHD). NNPHD reported nine new cases of confirmed coronavirus on Saturday.
As of May 23, there have been 810 COVID-19 tests reported with the district comprised of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne Counties. So far, there have been 93 positive cases (Cedar-7, Dixon-28, Thurston-46 and Wayne-12), 689 negatives and 28 tests currently pending. Saturday’s patients come from Thurston and Wayne Counties and are comprised of seven females and two males in their 20s, 40s and 50s.
