A new flag pole and flag adorn the Wayne County Fairgounds as the 2023  fair gets underway today (Thursday).

A number of changes have been made to the 4-H/FFA shows to help both the animals and exhibitors during this week's hot weather.

The Horse Show began early this morning and the Goat Show was moved to morning rather than afternoon.

The Sheep Show, originally set for this afternoon, has been moved to Friday morning following the Swine Show. The Swine Show begins at 8 a.m.

The Market Beef Show will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday with a new show order.

Thursday's grandstand entertainment will be provided by the L4 Livestock Ultimate Bullriding Tour and begin at 7:30 p.m.

Friday will feature The Outlaw Truck and Tractor Pull at 6:30 p.m. following the 60th annual Barbecue.

Saturday's highlight will be a concert by Sawyer Brown at 9:30 p.m. with opening act Elvie Shane.

The fair wraps up on Sunday with the Demolition Derby at 6 p.m.
