The Wayne High girls finished fourth and the boys placed 11th in the Norfolk Catholic Invitational Friday at Skyview Lake.
Laura Hasemann paced the Blue Devil girls with a time of 22:49, good for 17th place overall.]
Fatima Lucas Garcia was 26th in 24:37, followed by Allyson Avery in 28th at 24:51. Completing the Wayne varsity ere Autum Avery (35th, 25:04), Andi Belt (41st, 26:35) and Erin Avery (43rd, 26:35).
In boys action, Christopher Woerdemann was 28th in a time of 19:30 to lead Wayne, with Treyton Blecke following in 36th at 19:50.
Finishing out the boys team effort was Kevin Kielty (53rd, 29:15), Sean Aschoff (55th, 20:56), Hunter Schultz (62nd, 21:08), Ashton Munsell (63rd, 21:09); Liam Spieker (64th, 21:22) and Ethan McCraney (72nd, 21:29).
In junior high action, Wayne’s girls were third and the boys finished fifth out of 11 teams.
In girls action, Kyla Krusemark led the way, finishing 6th in 8:00 on the 2,000-meter course. Raegan Maas placed 10th in 8:10.
For the Wayne junior high boys, Alex Frank led the way, finishing ninth in 7:16 while Colson Nelsen was 12th in 7:22.
Wayne will host the Blue Devil Invitational on Monday at 4 p.m. at the Wayne Country Club.
