With Monday night storms causing concern for the Bronco (12u) teams, Wayne Didget (10u) teams were able to beat the heavy downpour on June 2.
Wayne White played host to Battle Creek #2 while Wayne Blue visited Battle Creek #1 with both Bronco games being postponed.
Wayne White held onto a 10-8 victory to improve to 5-0 while Wayne Blue suffered a 6-4 loss falling to 3-2.
In the White Didget outing, Lincoln Nelson singled, tripled, drove in a run and scored twice while Isaac McPhillips singled twice, drove in three runs and scored.
Owen Judd singled, drove in two runs and scored; Weston Nelson and Brett DePew both singled, drove in a run and scored; Conner Fox accounted for a RBI and run scored as Trexton Ocampo, Wyatt Holz and Beckett Miller all scored.
Kirby Gubbels (19) started the opening inning striking out three batters and walking one. Miller (45) followed the next two innings allowing two runs (one earned) off three hits while striking out four batters and walking three. Fox (29) worked two-thirds of an inning allowing four earned runs off two hits while striking out, walking and hitting one batter each. Baylen Biermann (20) pitched two-thirds of an inning allowing two runs off two hits while striking out two batters and walking one. Maxx Wohlers (4) recorded the final out via strikeout.
During the Blue Didget contest, Ryan Magnuson doubled as Crispin Ptacek added a RBI and single.
Lincoln Masters suffered the loss in three innings allowing an earned run off one hit while striking out eight batters and walking three.
The Battle Creek #1 Didget pitching staff recorded 13 combined strikeouts of the 15 outs.
Rescheduled dates for Wayne White Broncos (3-1) vs. Battle Creek #2 will be Sunday, June 8 while the Wayne Blue Broncos (3-1) at Battle Creek #1 will be Thursday, June 19.
