Members of the Wayne Junior/Senior High Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) chapter showcased their skills and leadership at the District STAR Event Competition held on Jan. 29 at Wayne State College.
Nine students from the chapter competed in seven different STAR (Students Taking Action with Recognition) Events, demonstrating their dedication to developing leadership skills, career preparation, and making a positive impact on their communities.
Results are as follows:
Rylin Hall, competing in Career Investigation, Level 3, Silver - advanced to state;
Regan Fernau, competing in Focus on Children, Level 3, Gold - advanced to state;
Owen Wynia and Nolan Samuelson, competing in National Programs in Action, Level 1, Gold - advanced to state;
Keaton Hall, competing in Professional Presentation, Level 1, Bronze;
Lainey Meyer, competing in Repurpose & Redesign, Level 1, Bronze;
Kennasyn Blecke, competing in Repurpose & Redesign, Level 3, Silver - advanced to state;
Gracyn Johnson, competing in Teach or Train, Level 1, Silver - advanced to state;
Chase Sturm, competing in Teach or Train, Level 2, Silver - advanced to state.
The state qualifiers are now preparing to compete at the Nebraska FCCLA State STAR Event Competition, which will take place on Monday, April 7 in Lincoln.
