Postseason high school volleyball began Monday for both Wayne and Laurel-Concord-Coleridge in the same subdistrict.
From Clarkson, #4 Wayne played two matches while #2 Laurel-Concord-Coleridge took part in a semifinal match.
#4 Wayne began the day with a 3-0 sweep over #5 Logan View/Scribner-Snyder (25-11, 25-20, 25-15) before suffering a 3-0 loss against #1 Clarkson/Leigh (14-25, 15-25, 19-25). Wayne High snapped a five-match losing streak and ended their season at 14-17.
The Raiders ended their season dropping five straight falling to 6-23.
The first semifinal match of the evening favored #2 LCC winning 3-0 over #3 Omaha Nation (25-10, 25-4, 25-8). The Bears won their eighth straight to improve to 28-3 while the Chiefs had a six-match win streak snapped falling to 24-6.
