The Wayne High baseball team is the fourth seed for the B-6 district baseball tournament that starts next Friday, May 3 in Elkhorn.
The Blue Devils will take on fifth-seed South Sioux City in a 5 p.m. game at Frerichs Field in Elkhorn. The winner moves on to the semifinals against top-seeded Elkhorn at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
The other half of the bracket includes No. 3 seed Platte Valley facing No. 6 seed Douglas County West, with the winner taking on Wahoo/Bishop Neumann/Lincoln Lutheran in the semifinals.
The championship game is set for Monday, May 6 at 6 p.m., with the winner advancing to the state tournament May 13-17 in Lincoln.
