The Wayne girls and Battle Creek boys both came away with wrestling dual wins in action Friday at the Battle Creek Elementary School gym.
In girls action, the Blue Devils outscored Battle Creek 36-30, getting wins from Kadence Rees at 170 and five Battle Creek forfeits.
The boys dual saw Class C No. 2 Battle Creek pull away with a 58-12 win over the Blue Devils. Wayne winners were Kasen York (138) and Alvaro Archundia (106) by decision and a BC forfeit.
Both Wayne High teams wrestle in the Mid State Conference meet on Saturday at Hartington Cedar Catholic.
