A trio of local wrestling programs competed in a girls only invite on Saturday.
From Pierce, Wayne, Winside and Wakefield (added to schedule) joined the 22 total teams during the Pierce Invite.
The Wayne girls (12 wrestlers) finished eighth with 85.5 points, Wakefield (10 wrestlers) tied for 16th with 28 points as Winside (three wrestlers) took 22nd with three points.

Chadron won the Pierce Invite with 126.5 points, Schuyler followed in runner-up (124), the host Pierce took third (122), Lincoln High placed fourth (105) and Battle Creek rounded out the top five teams with 101 points.
The Wayne girls were led by Essynce Owens-Webb (100) and Nyla Bolles (135) both finished runner-up.
Kadence Rees (155) and Janelly Lucas (235) both placed fifth as Lupita Alba (105), Serenity Heil-Ellis (125) and Ivette Ozuna (145) all took sixth.
Other scoring came from Macy Wilson (120) with five points while also in action were Andrea Bacillio (100), Alexa Chavez (140) and Jasmine Contreras (235).
Sidney Nelson (135) won the JV division.
The Wakefield girls were led by Natalee Nelson (190) in fourth; Maria Perez (125) placed fifth as Tiffany Chase (170) took sixth. Also scoring points included Mayte Flores Garcia (140) with three points as Katelyn Walsh (120) added 1.5 points.
Others in action were Jennifer Cornejo (100), Mirella Ruvalcaba (115), Kira Centurion (120), Melony Manjarrez (135) and Jazmynn Scott (155).
Winside leaders were Lilly Umbarger (145) scoring the lone three points for the varsity. In the JV Division, Maci Schmidt (130) won her weight class while Raylyn Behmer (120) was also in action.
The Wayne High girls will next compete on Monday, Jan. 6 hosting Wakefield and Winnebago for a home triangular. The Blue Devil boys will return to the mat on Tuesday, Dec. 31 during the Creighton Prep Invite.
The Wakefield girls will next compete in the Winnebago Girls Tournament on Friday, Jan. 3 during the day same day as the Trojan boys visiting West Point-Beemer for a road dual.
The Winside girls will return to the mat on Friday, Dec. 27 for the Wisner-Pilger Girls Invite. The Wildcat boys will next compete at the Newman Grove Invite on Friday, Jan. 3.
