After competing most recently all together in a Friday invite, a trio of northeast Nebraska girls wrestling programs were back on the mat during a Monday evening triangular.
From the Wayne Jr/Sr High School gymnasium, the Blue Devil girls welcomed Wakefield and Winnebago to open the week.
The Wayne High girls first won 51-30 over Winnebago before also picking up a 47-28 victory against Wakefield.
The middle match favored Wakefield over Winnebago, 45-24.
In the Wayne victory over Winnebago, contested match wins came from Kadence Rees (155) by decision (9-7) over Avani Wilkie as Janelly Lucas (190) won by fall (2:58) over Ka’Mia Blackhawk.
Wayne won 100, 115, 125, 130, 135, 140 and 145 all by forfeit.
Lupita Alba (105) suffered a loss by fall (4:51) to Zowie Wilkie; Macy Wilson (120) suffered a loss by fall (3:49) to Zziniyah Redhorn and Jasmine Contreras (235) suffered a loss by fall (0:07) to Precious DeCora. The Indians also won 110 and 170 by forfeit.
During the match against Wakefield, contested match wins came from Serenity Heil-Ellis (125) by fall (5:10) over Angie Miranda; Nyla Bolles (135) by fall (1:09) over Melony Manjarrez; Kadence Rees (155) by tech fall (17-0) over Jazmynn Scott and Essynce Owens-Webb (100) by fall (1:19) over Jennifer Cornejo.
Wayne won 130, 145, 235 and 105 by forfeit.
Both teams double forfeit 170.

The Wayne girls wrestling team had their Tuesday night road triangular at Plainview canceled and will next travel to Malcolm on Friday, Jan. 10 for an invite starting at 3 p.m.
The Wakefield girls wrestling team will next compete in the Winside girls wrestling Invite on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 10 a.m.
The Wakefield boys wrestling team resumes competition on Saturday, Jan. 11 during the Summerland Invite at 10 a.m.
