American Legion baseball, Dirt Devil softball and Northeast Nebraska Crush action took over June 2.
From Hank Overin Field in Wayne, Rolling Hills Supply Wayne Post 43 played host to the Platte River Rivals (Schuyler/North Bend/Morse Bluff).
In Juniors action, Wayne scored nine runs in the bottom of the fifth to seal off a 12-5 win.
During the Seniors night cap, Wayne secured a 9-0 victory.
Rolling Hills Supply Wayne Post 43 Seniors (5-1) and Juniors (3-1) will play a third straight home game on June 3 welcoming Crofton at 5:30/8 p.m. Juniors game will be played first.
From Uehling, the Dirt Devil 16/18s split a road doubleheader with Logan View thanks to a walk-off 7-6 win followed by a 10-5 loss.
Reagan McGuire drove in Elizabeth Hix during the one-run victory.
The Dirt Devils (5-3) will continue their road stretch at Kelly's Fastpitch 15U - Fite on June 3 at 6/7:30 p.m.
Coming off a runner-up finish in the Dirt Devil Invite this past weekend, the Dirt Devil 14s entertained Dakota Valley in early June. The Dirt Devils took care of business with wins of 11-4 and 15-2.
For a second straight night the Dirt Devil 12s were in action as they visited Yankton Fury Storm 11U. The Dirt Devils suffered road losses of 11-2 and 10-5.
Both Dirt Devil 10 & Under teams were in action on June 2 at home.
Dirt Devil 10s Red played host to Kelly's 9U - Hahne and secured a 9-8 victory while Dirt Devil 10s Black picked up a 12-5 win also over Kelly's 9U - Hahne.
Sally Cantrell posted a walk-off RBI single driving in Mackenzy Wohlers for 10s Red.
Dirt Devil 14s (14-5-1) and 12s (0-19-1) will head to Blair for district action this weekend, Dirt Devil 10s Black (7-9) will travel to Arlington for their district tourney and Dirt Devil 10s Red (4-12) will be off this weekend and next visit West Point on June 9 at 6 p.m. The 10s Red team will compete in the Logan Valley League Tourney later this season with 10s Black not playing that weekend.
From Wayne, Northeast Nebraska Crush 12U have been off for a month and played host to the Columbus Outlaws. Crush 12U suffered a 13-8 opening loss followed by a 5-3 win.
Next up for the Crush (3-6) will be the Lincoln Sox NIT this weekend.
