From Wayne State College baseball and softball to Wayne High baseball, it was a busy past few days on the diamond.
From Mankato, Minnesota on April 8, the Wayne State College baseball team suffered losses of 12-5 (seven innings) and 2-0 (nine innings) to Minnesota State-Mankato.
WSC (20-15, 12-10 NSIC) will look to snap their four-game losing streak hosting University of Mary April 11-12 during a three-game series starting at noon on Saturday.
From Winona, Minnesota on April 10, the Wayne State College softball team dropped a pair of seven innings games of 4-2 and 5-4 against #23 Winona State.
The Wildcats (30-10, 10-6 NSIC) will next visit Minnesota State-Mankato on April 11 at noon/2 p.m. to close out the weekend (games moved up one day due to weather).
From St. Paul, the Wayne High baseball team started a series of three games in three days. WHS picked up a 5-3 win at St. Paul/Palmer on April 9.
The Blue Devils, now 6-5, also began the Blair Tourney on April 10 dropping a 6-2 decision against Ralston.
Wayne High will next face York at 10 a.m. on April 11 in Blair.
