Wayne's co-op swimming program is being represented for a second straight year at the 2026 NSAA State Swimming Championships on the Norfolk High boys team.
Also, the Wildcat baseball, softball and beach volleyball teams competed on Feb. 27.
From the Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln, Wayne's Kyler Parker competed in the Friday prelims during the 100-meter fly as well as the medley, 200-meter freestyle and 400-meter freestyle relays.

Back at the Pete Chapman Baseball Complex, Wayne State College began day two of home action against Minnesota Duluth by closing out their second game (started down 6-4 in top of ninth inning) with a 7-4 loss.
WSC then won 11-9 (scheduled nine innings) and lost 12-5 (scheduled seven innings) against the Bulldogs.
The Wildcats (7-8, 2-4 NSIC) will be off until a trip to Cary, North Carolina to play four games scheduled between March 6 - 8. WSC will open against Saint Anslem College (NH) at 10 a.m. CT on March 6.
Second day action of the Midwest College Classic also resumed for the Wayne State College softball team in Shawnee, KS.
The 'Cats began day two with a 7-5 win in walk-off fashion against Southwest Baptist followed by a 4-0 victory over Maryville Univ.
Wayne State College (11-1, winners of seven straight) will close out the Midwest College Classic on Feb. 28 against Upper Iowa at 10 a.m. and #9 Missouri Southern at 2:30 p.m.
From the UNL Campus Beach Courts in Lincoln, Wayne State College beach volleyball began their season outdoors.
The Wildcats first swept Trinidad State Junior College (CO) (5-0) before picking up one set victory in a 4-1 loss to University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
WSC beach volleyball (1-1) will return back to Lincoln on March 3 to face Oklahoma Wesleyan at 1:30 p.m.
