Two of the older Dirt Devil softball programs didn't have to travel far while it was a make-up day for the Wayne White Ponies on June 9. Wakefield Post 81 American Legion baseball also completed one of two road games.

From the Summer Sports Complex, the Dirt Devil 16/18s first won 17-5 before suffering a 4-0 loss against Logan View.

The Dirt Devils (11-7) will next visit Ponca on June 10 at 6/7:30 p.m. (game moved up one day).

 

From the Summer Sports Complex, the Dirt Devil 14s dropped a pair of games against Kelly's Fastpitch - Carpenter by scores of 9-5 (game was tied 4-4 entering sixth) and 7-6 (Kelly's scored three runs in fourth to come from behind).

The Dirt Devils (16-9-1) will next visit Quakes - Harper on June 11 at 6/7:30 p.m. Games will be played in Hadar, NE.

 

After being postponed from Sunday due to weather, the Wayne White Ponies shutout the West Point Aardvarks 14-0 in Wayne.

Wayne White (7-1) will next visit the West Point Patriots on June 11 at 7 p.m.

 

From David City, the Wakefield Post 81 Seniors were unable to complete their game as weather canceled the night cap before an official number of innings were played while the Post 81 Juniors dropped a 15-7 decision at Post 125 earlier in the evening.

A Juniors only contest will next be on the schedule for Wakefield Post 81 (2-3) vs. Ponca on Jun 10 at 7 p.m. while both Wakefield Juniors and Seniors (4-3) will host South Sioux City on June 12 at 5:30/8 p.m.
