Ahead of a Saturday invitational, the Wayne High boys golf team put in the work during a weekday outing.
From Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus, the Blue Devil boys golf team joined 11 other varsity and JV programs on May 1 during the Lakeview Invite.
WHS recorded a team score of 377 to tie for seventh with Norfolk JV.
Columbus Lakeview won their home invite over Norfolk Catholic in a team playoff after both teams posted an 18-hole round of 324. Columbus Scotus took third (347), Central City placed fourth (351) and Columbus Lakeview JV rounded out the top five teams with a 372.
Will Brockhaus from Norfolk Catholic finished with a one-under PAR 71 (34/37) to win the individual title ahead of Jackson Ceder (Lakeview) in runner-up with a 74.
Wayne High was led by Dylan Jensen with an 87 just missing out on a medal by one stroke to finish 16th while Colson Nelsen shot a 90.
Other Blue Devil results came from Carter Wiese (97), Mason Karsky (103) and Landon Sharer (108).
