Wayne High Power Drive teams wraps up season this weekend with state

The Wayne Power Drive team traveled to I29 Speedway outside Pacific Junction Iowa on April 25 to compete in the third race of the 2026 season, before wrapping up this racing season in Wayne on Saturday, May 2.

A combination of low wind conditions and a 1.4 mile road course had the Blue Devils excited to see the fastest track speeds of the year.

Coming off of back to back wins, the S95 car, driven by Abby Allvin finished in first place with 19 laps and a one lap lead.

Wayne was the only team that competed in Exhibition class, resulting in first, second and third place finishes.

Wayne will host the 2026 EVERON Power Drive Championships on Saturday, May 2 at 1100 East 10th Street (the former FNBO location).  Admission is free and racing starts at 1 p.m. with preliminary events happening in the morning.

Wayne’s track is 0.23 miles for one lap, shortest of the Power Drive season.
