Wayne High Prom this weekend

Wayne High School students will celebrate Prom on Saturday, March 23 with this year's theme being "Masquerade."

The Grand March begins at 6 p.m. in the high school gym with coronation taking place at that time.

Queen candidates include:

Frantzdie Barner, daughter of Todd and Becky Barner. She plans to study PTA at Southeast Community College;

Kate Hill, daughter of Karen Longe and Mark Hill. She plans to study agribusiness at the University of Wyoming;

Jersi Jensen, daughter of Darin and Jessi Jensen. She plans to attend Northeast Community College with a major undecided at this time;

Delaney Kruse, daughter of Tracy and Dan Kruse. She plans to study biology at Northeast Community College and later go on to a chiropractor school;

Faith Powicki, daughter of Liesel Powicki and Mike Powicki. She plans to study elementary education at South Dakota State University.

King candidates include:

Caiden Backer, son of Jeff and Rhonda Backer. He plans to go to Wayne State College for Physical Therapy;

Samuel Junck, son of Dwaine and Priscilla Junck. He plans to study Ag Business at Wayne State College;

Mason Ley, son of Sandy Brown and Matt Ley. He plans to major in  Business and Law at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Kaleb Moormeier, son of Kari Moormeier and Jason Sears. He plans to go to school for Physical Therapy at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Garret Schultz, son of Amanda Hank and Tom Schultz. He plans to major in Sports Management at Wayne State College.
