With one more set of homes games scheduled to be played this weekend during a home tournament, the Wayne Junior High boys basketball teams took to the road.
From Norfolk, the Blue Devil seventh and eighth grade teams visited Norfolk Catholic marking the second straight road game this week.
The Wayne eighth graders lost 46-22 while the Blue Devil seventh graders suffered a 38-26 defeat.
In the eighth grade loss, Colston Starzl led the team with eight points followed by Mason Kramer with four points. Other scoring came from Jacob Francis (three points); Rhys Hanish, Liam Rockhill and Cash Tilli (all with two points) as Remyngton Rager (one point).
During the seventh grade loss, the Blue Devils started out with an excellent first quarter (10 points) and struggled to get offense going in the second (one point).
Mason Wendte led the team in scoring with nine points, while Hudson Willrich followed with eight points. Other scoring came from Louie Severson (five), Merrick Miller (three) and Zaven Jurgensen with a free throw.
