With one more invite on the schedule for the season, Wayne seventh and eighth grade girls wrestlers were back on the road Thursday evening.
From Pierce Public Schools, the Wayne Junior High girls were listed among the 18 teams competing in the Pierce Invite.
Wayne JH girls placed third with 156 points among their 10 wrestlers.
Schuyler (23 wrestlers) won the Pierce JH invite ahead of Norfolk (38 wrestlers) 202 – 190.5, again Wayne followed in third (156), South Sioux City placed fourth (146.5) and Battle Creek rounded out the top five teams with144.5 points.
The Wayne Junior High girls were led by the champions of Sarah Kuchta, Pashynce Owens-Webb, Reagan McManigal, Zoe Bolles, Elena Tomas Bacilio, Saoirse Fitzgerald and Alexandria Ziska.
Runner-up results came from Lucy Ocampo, Rose Kaup and Lorelai Sorenson.
