As teams battled through the heat and humidity, Rolling Hills Supply Wayne Post 43 welcomed seven other Class B Junior American Legion baseball teams from across the state.
Earlier in the Class B Jrs State tourney, Wayne Post 43 had an early exit following losses of 7-2 against Aurora (July 18) and 5-0 with Wahoo (July 19) in the elimination round.
Two-game Wayne leaders at state came from Mason Wendte and Easton Endicott both with a trio of singles.
Endicott drove in a run as Wendte scored twice.
Endicott started one game working five and a third innings allowing four runs (two earned) off four hits while striking out three batters, walking five and hitting one.
