A member of the Wayne High girls along with a trio from the Blue Devil boys basketball team landed a spot on the Mid State Conference teams.
According to a release, 10 All-conference for the girls and boys along with several more as honorable mention were listed.
Junior Haley Kramer from Wayne earned Honorable Mention after leading the Wayne High girls in scoring (13.6 ppg), made three’s (42), field goal percentage (39%) and posted a team-high 57 steals. She also ranked second on the team in rebounds per game (4.0).
The Blue Devil girls finished 12-14 on the season.
Senior Colson Nelsen was named All-Conference for the Blue Devil boys after leading the team in scoring (15.6 ppg), made three’s (77) and tied for the team lead in assists (56). He was also second in field goal percentage (57%) and made free throws (62) going 74% at the line.
Honorable mention recipients were senior Gavin Redden and junior Jace Jorgensen.
Redden collected a team-high 52 offensive rebounds while leading the team in steals (56) and blocks (13) as Jorgensen was the top rebounder (166), made a team-high 67 free throws, had the top field goal percentage (59%) as well as second in scoring (9.6 ppg).
The Wayne High boys finished 21-6 and were District runner-up falling to Sidney, 62-50 one win shy of the state tournament.
