Wayne Mayor Jill Brodersen is "proud to announce the launch of Recycled Rides, a new community program aimed at ensuring every child in Wayne has access to a bicycle."
Initiated by Mayor Brodersen, Recycled Rides is a bike donation and refurbishment program that collects used bicycles, repairs them with the help of volunteers, and distributes them at no cost to children who need them. The program is built on the belief that, with community support, Wayne already has the resources to outfit every local child with a safe and reliable bike.
Residents who know of a child in need of a bicycle are encouraged to attend Recycled Rides’ open hours or contact Mayor Jill Brodersen at 402-369-1304 for assistance.
For more information, to donate, or to volunteer, please contact Jill Brodersen or City Hall at 402-375-1733.
