Tori Kniesche threw her fourth no-hitter of the season and Wayne broke open a close game late to post a 6-0 win at Tekamah-Herman Thursday to improve to 11-2 on the season.

The game was scoreless until the sixth when Kennedy Maly took the first pitch over the wall in center to give the Blue Devils a 1-0 lead. They would break the game open in the seventh, thanks to two-run singles by Maly and Kniesche. An error also brought a Wayne run home in the final inning.

That was enough for Kniesche, as the sophomore slinger struck out 12 and walked four for her fourth no-hitter of the season.

Wayne had nine hits in the win. Kniesche had three hits and Maly, Annie Kniesche and Masyn Dorey each had two hits. One of Dorey’s hits was a double. Maly had three RBI’s and Tori Kniesche had two.

The Blue Devils play in the Omaha Mercy Invitational on Saturday.
