The City of Wayne lifted its snow emergency as of 8 p.m. Jan 15. They ask to please avoid parking in areas in the northern part of town where only one lane is open.
City employees are working to obtain parts to fix their broken snow blower. Today, Jan. 16, crews will work on removing snow downtown beginning at 4 a.m. with or without their snowblower, according to the City of Wayne Facebook page.
"Thank you for your patience," the post on Facebook reads. "This has been a challenge to say the least. In areas where we have to go back and widen streets later this week you may see some snow get pushed back at the end of driveways. We try to avoid that as much as possible by using the blower. We will also likely have a loader working on widening intersections to make turning corners easier."
